How to Use Ford Remote Start

Operating Your Remote Start System

Starting the Vehicle

• Remotely lock the doors with the key fob's Lock button.

• Press the key fob's Remote Start button twice.

• The headlights and taillights will flash twice if successful.

• If remote start is unsuccessful, the horn will sound.

• If your vehicle has memory settings for the mirrors, steering column, and seating, these will automatically adjust to match those settings when the vehicle is started remotely.

Deactivating the Vehicle

• When the vehicle is running, press the Remote start button once.

• If successful, the headlights and taillights will turn off and the engine will stop.

Remote control Feedback

Some Ford key fobs feature remote feedback to display the status of the commands you've given the vehicle. It indicates success or failure with an LED on the fob itself. Here's what each color means:
